Built In Ireland · reference register

A register should verify work,
not manufacture confidence.

This page records what Built In Ireland can support today. Three earlier drafts were written as issued employment references, but their people, dates, work totals, outcomes and sign-off were not backed by the site's evidence register. They are now held legacy records, not credentials.

The publication gate

A genuine record can be published only after all five fields below are supported. Missing evidence does not become true because a polished page, PDF or reference ID exists.

  1. Identity and consent: the contributor is real, has reviewed the proposed public attribution and has agreed to publication.
  2. Task evidence: a dated brief identifies the work and the accepted deliverables.
  3. Review evidence: a named reviewer records what they checked, what changed and any limits.
  4. Release status: “published” or “shipped” is used only with a release record or public version that can be matched to the work.
  5. Claim-by-claim support: quantities, traffic, ranking, client approval, employment and outcome claims each need their own source.

A held record is not pending approval, a reference, a qualification or evidence of employment. It remains held unless the complete source trail and the contributor's consent are supplied and independently reviewed.

How to assess a future record

Start with the narrowest useful question: “What does the evidence actually establish?” Then separate that answer from everything the page does not prove.

    Match the identifier

    The register entry, public page and any exported document should carry the same identifier and revision date.

    Inspect the scope

    Look for named deliverables and review limits. Avoid inferring broader employment or commercial responsibility.

    Check the evidence state

    Draft, reviewed, accepted and released are different states. Only the state supported by the audit trail should appear.

    Read corrections

    A credible register admits revisions. A correction date and reason are stronger controls than the impossible claim that HTML cannot change.

Corrections and future publication

A new record should be drafted from evidence, not back-filled after publication. The contributor gets a factual review; the reviewer gets a claim checklist; and the public page states the evidence state and revision date. If evidence is withdrawn or contradicted, the record stays addressable with a visible correction rather than quietly vanishing.

Built In Ireland is not currently offering candidate introductions, reference verification by email or guaranteed response times. This register is the public source of truth for what the site itself claims.
